The Art and Design (B.A.) program is designed to give students a comprehensive foundation and breadth of experience, starting with an understanding of the elements and principles of art and design. Students are encouraged to develop their own studio practices through a balance of technical skills, problem-solving, conceptual development and experimentation. Students are given opportunities to apply their knowledge to the working field of contemporary art and design practices through fieldwork and internships. This program, paired with a liberal arts background, prepares students who intend to pursue professional careers in or related to the studio art and/or graphic design fields.
